I've been here an a subscriber since 2001 (user 51 of the freshly new Wincustomize) and used Stardock programs since Windowblinds 1.2. Seen many innovative things Stardock has done (one of the most profilic ones was the pityful abondoned DesktopX) and even more great skins by most talented skinners, most of whom just vanished unfortunately.

I had my highs and lows with Stardock due to the direction some things and programs and support went, which are all past me of course.

The best skinning times are over latest since Windows 10 and I went more and to using the great utilities like Multiplicity, Fences and Groupy. The only 'skinning' tool I used all the time was IconPackager. 

This year I bought a Macbook and my interest for Windows customizing went near zero. Still use Rainmeter on the business Laptop + Winstep and Groupy but that's it. So this year will mark the 1st year I let my OD subscription go for good. Of course I use tools on the Mac to alter it's appearance, but that is another story. Too bad Stardock never did anything for MacOS or customizing Macs is a topic here. ;-)

Although I will nearly vanish here, I will leave my skins and profile. Just wanted to say thank You for the good times I had here and wish everyone all the best.

Hi, when setting up new software (new pc here, lots of installs) 'recently installed items' and even 'all apps' in Start 11 are NEVER up to date. Is there any way to trigger an update so I can add a newly installed app to the start menu immediately?

I am really interested, why it is so hard to have dark themes with bright fonts in WindowBlinds? Every theme using the UXTheme hack has absolutely no problems with that one.

I want to understand what is the technical problem?

And if not possible, why not just let native windows dark theme do that work and let WB do all other parts? Please, not the 'it's hard coded' argument. See above, hacked themes can just do that fine.

No offence, but would be nice to have Neil answering here, not the average support guy using standard text.

I changed from Insider to normal realease version iin hope to be able to use WB again. What a mess. Everx other skin destroys explorer OR/AND has no background in explorer with the wall shining through. This happens with old and brand new themes.

Guys, it is really getting on everybodies nerves and the forums fill with questions about this. I really wonder how much longer this will go on without a fix. Still offering workarounds and no solution just isn't it. And there are people with more Stardock-apps installed than one. Always having to check if there is really an update or another false positive is so disguisting. SO PLEASE, I beg You... 

Hi, would it be possible to add an option to Start 11 Windows 11 style to behave like the original Startmenu (popup / grid)? IMHO it is much nicer than the Windows 10 style group.

Bought a MacBook and about to work on the 'dark side' half the time. Are here any hybrid users doung the same and have You customized Your macs? Is it a thing in Macos or impossible? Some links would come handy. Thank You. :-) Yes, there is always Google, but why not make use of the customizers bubble here. ;-)
